Head to Locmariaquer: Explore the town's history and architecture

“Cap sur Locmariaquer” is one of the Brittany Region’s 50 “Favorites for 2026” for the European Heritage Days.

The “Pays d’art et d’histoire” invites you to the garden of the Locmariaquer rectory for two days of activities celebrating the town’s heritage.

Saturday, September 19:
From 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: “Locmariaquer Yesterday and Today” exhibition presented by the town in partnership with the Pays d’art et d’histoire and the Zénaïde Fleuriot Media Library.
From 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM:
- Information booth for the Pays d’art et d’histoire.
- “In Search of Heritage in Locmariaquer”: presentation of photographs taken in 1969 by the Inventory Department currently undergoing identification, with an information booth for the Pays d’art et d’histoire
At 3:00 p.m.: Guided tour “Behind the Scenes of the Inventory: Discovering the Architecture of the Town of Locmariaquer in the 19th and 20th Centuries,” departing from the “Pays d’art et d’histoire” information booth.

Sunday, September 20:
From 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.: “Pays d’art et d’histoire” information booth. Continuous games and workshops for families.
At 11:00 a.m., guided tour “Behind the Scenes of the Inventory: Discovering the Architecture of the Town of Locmariaquer in the 19th and 20th Centuries,” departing from the Pays d’art et d’histoire information booth.
At 3:00 p.m., guided tour: “The Megaliths of Locmariaquer,” departing from the Pays d’art et d’histoire information booth.
