Red Rage
“The little girl is red. They say her grandmother sewed her a red dress, and blah, blah, blah, and blah, blah, blah. But they never say why the old woman chose that fabric. They never mention the most important thing: the little girl is red with anger.”
For this new creation, Marina Le Guennec draws on Raphaële Frier’s text: *La petite rouge courroux* (The Little Red Girl in a Rage), published by Sarbacane.
It’s the story of a Little Red Riding Hood—a modern-day version—who explains her color and her anger: the adventure of a determined and powerful child who knows how to say no, even to the big bad wolf!
Using a minimalist staging, Marina Le Guennec has adapted the text into a production beautifully scored by electronic musician Émilie Rougier.
Through her voice, body, and movement, she offers a passionate, joyful, and rock-inspired version of Little Red Riding Hood for the youngest audiences.
