"Atlas of the Anthropocene" or How Rabbits Raise Some Truly Fascinating Questions for Understanding a Whole Range of Aspects of Today’s World
From rabbit hutches to factory farming, from the invasive species that has destroyed numerous ecosystems to the resilient rabbits of Kerguelen, from the one sent into space in 1959 by the Russians to the victims of the serial killer on the Côtes d’Armor, from the stuffed animals happily perched on our children’s beds to those we’ll eventually eat and drink as plastic rains down—rabbits never cease to challenge the limits of our world. Burdened with numerous ills, have they become one of the signs of the planet’s poor health—a marker of the processes of impoverishment and extinction of life, and ultimately of themselves? But are rabbits really that stupid? The question is, of course, essential.
In 30 questions and 60 minutes, Frédéric Ferrer—a geographer by training—joins actress Hélène Schwartz to unroll his irresistible PowerPoint-style narrative, following the rabbits’ trail to retrace the world’s major upheavals.
Show for ages 12 and up
Running time: 1 hour 25 minutes
