Discovery tours around the megaliths of southern Morbihan
The megaliths of Carnac and the banks of the Morbihan are in the process of being added to UNESCO's World Heritage List . Hiking and biking trails invite you to discover them, offering you an exceptional immersion in the heart of a thousand-year-old heritage.
Take in the famous menhir alignments of Carnac, fascinating witnesses to Europe's first Neolithic societies, as well as the many dolmens and tumuli scattered across the countryside. These trails also wind along the coastline of the Gulf of Morbihan, discovering the Locmariaquer megalith site and the famous Gavrinis cairn. These emblematic sites are revealed in all their historical and natural richness .

- CARNAC: The alignments circuit - 11km - 2h15
An ideal circuit for admiring the fantastic megalithic site of Carnac and its 3 alignments: Ménec, Kermario and Kerlescan. The route also takes you to the giant Manio, standing proudly in the heart of the forest.
- LOCMARIAQUER: Le sentier des mégalithes - 10km on foot - 2h10 / 9km by bike - 0h47
Locmariaquer's megaliths, including the Great Broken Menhir and the Merchant's Table, can be discovered on a stroll along the Pointe de Locmariaquer, between oceanic landscapes and the peaceful shores of the Gulf of Morbihan.

- RIA D'ETEL: Circuit between land and sea - 11km - 2h15
Located in the heart of the Ria d'Étel, Belz has a surprisingly rich natural, architectural and megalithic heritage. This tour takes in the famous village of Saint-Cado, the Ria d'Étel and the megaliths.
- QUIBERON: The Quiberon loop - 15.5km - 2h
A loop between bay, moor and ocean to discover the ports, villages and megaliths of Quiberon: menhirs of Beger Goh Lannec, menhir of Goulvars...
You can also discover the megaliths of the Golfe du Morbihan along the hiking trails from the Rivière d'Auray to the Presqu'île de Rhuys.
- RIVIERE D'AURAY: Le Tumulus de Kernours - 14km - 3h30
More confidential, this hike will take you along the river to the Tumulus de Kernours and discover the authentic port of Le Bono. At the head of the Golfe du Morbihan, on the way up the Rivière d'Auray, Le Bono is a village that has preserved its authenticity around its once bustling port. This circuit invites you to follow the GR®34 along the shore to the end of the Kerdréan bay, then follow the beautiful sunken paths and return via the old oyster beds, which bear witness to the intense oyster-farming activity from the second half of the 19th century onwards.
- GOLFE DU MORBIHAN: Tour of Île-aux-Moines - 17km - 5h40
Unwind in the heart of the Golfe du Morbihan while discovering the island's megaliths. The pearl of the Golfe du Morbihan is wooded and offers a variety of landscapes. Izenah, its Breton name, is a window onto one of the most beautiful bays in the world, an invitation to calm and serenity. The tour alternates between roads and coastal paths. There are no PR (yellow/backpacking) markers. Markers will help you find your way along the trail, and our app will also be very useful.
