"Megaliths in Celebration" returns in 2026 with something new!
Following the success of “Mégalithes en Fête” in 2025, Auray Quiberon Terre Atlantique, the town of Carnac, and the Quiberon Bay Tourist Office invite residents to join them for a new edition on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Designed as a major community highlight, the event will offer a festive, friendly, and intergenerational day to bring the communities together and foster a sense of local pride.
On the program: activities, sports and recreational challenges, shows, concerts, demonstrations… and a major new addition: the Quest for the Megaliths.
Two highlights for an exceptional day
A large, festive village in Carnac
Just like last year, the village will come alive with sports and recreational challenges, performances, concerts, demonstrations, and opportunities for socializing—all open to everyone.

Fun, lively challenges suitable for all ages to support your community by earning points. Grand finale of the Megalith Quest with the Wall of Champions at 5:30 p.m. - Megaliths Area
Workshops and activities for everyone, in partnership with the Carnac Prehistory Museum and Auray Quiberon Terre Atlantique. - French Oyster Shuckers’ Championship
Stages of the French Oyster Shuckers’ Championship, featuring several events to discover: speed, knowledge, and presentation contests. - The Ideas Forum
A vibrant, participatory space to share and discuss the region of tomorrow. Three key topics: community life, youth, and the circular economy.

- 6:45 p.m.: Opening of the evening by Kevrenn Alré—Bagad and Breton dances
- 7:15 PM: Awards ceremony for the French Oyster Shuckers Championship
- 7:30 p.m.: Awards ceremony for “The Quest for the Megaliths: The Golden Menhir”
- 8:00 PM: Jazz concert by the BPM Trio
- 9:30 p.m.: Grand aerial show by the Deus Ex Machina troupe

New for 2026: The Megalith Quest
Get your teams ready! The Quest for the Megaliths is coming in 2026: a brand-new inter-municipal challenge inspired by famous inter-city competitions, combining challenges, team spirit, and moments of camaraderie.
For this event, the 24 municipalities of Auray Quiberon Terre Atlantique have formed their teams to represent their communities in a festive and friendly atmosphere.
Each team will consist of five residents who must work together to complete a series of challenges centered around three iconic themes of the region: Land, Sea, and Air. Meet at the village for the final challenge: The Wall of Champions.
