Saint-Gildas Church
The 17th-century parish church of Saint-Gildas was built in place of a 12th-century priory and chapel, which had fallen into disrepair. Its architecture is a blend of medieval and brocaded forms. Listed as a Monument Historique since 1995, the Church of Saint-Gildas overlooks the town of Auray with its remarkable bell tower. It boasts exceptional furnishings, including a major altarpiece.
