In the heart of the Ria d'Étel, on the heights of the Baie de Locoal, stands the church of Saint-Goal, built on the presumed site of its patron saint's hermitage. Transferred in 1037 to the Benedictines of Redon Abbey, the monastery became a priory. A chapel was built in the 11th / 12th century. Over the centuries, the chapel underwent numerous alterations and became the parish church.
